Some berries i found under a maple tree while "climbing" Mt. Takao. It's the first year I see fall colors in my life, being from a tropical country. Shot with the Tammy at f/3.5

Good composition, wonderful color and good exposure but not enough in focus probably due to the very short DOF.

I don't think i could reshoot this one, but i think i have some more of the same subject. I'll check if i have more with a different focus and make a focus stack, hopefully i got to take some others. I am still tankering with my tammy, but i think i'm overexcited with the wide aperture at 75mm. The worst part is that i had enough light to make it all the way to f/8 maybe even f/11 at ISO200 :banghead:.
In the same way i took some photos of a Mantis a couple of days ago, but kept the aperture at f/2.8 destroying the whole set. :banghead: Well... we learn from our mistakes.

we certainly do learn from our mistakes, quicker than when we get it right! Don't be afraid to up the iso to get a better dof, there are noise programmes there to help deal with it, should it get a little too noisy. My tip, when shooting these sorts of things, is to check your background, have it as clean and far away as possible, to help retain nice bokeh when using deeper dof"s.
