We've just put up a sticky in all the 'Photography' sections with a tutorial on just this topic! :)

CJM - I embed images not upload them but thanks.

docmike - timing or what!?

Basically, if you are linking an image, then there are no defined limits (that's part of the fun of this forum). Just be reasonable about size and dimension. The attachment route has a 100000 byte limit for jpgs, and other limits for different files.

Hehe! Thank John (rudgej) - he does all the clever work around here. I just make the tea and sweep up. Another cup, anyone? 148

Ah thanks John, just checked the tutorial and find no meniton of embedding images.

I'll use common sense. I'm sure I left it lying around here somewhere... ;)

Are you sure that's Tea, Mike?

Looks more like Tea-quila shots to me!

I used the term linking images, but may be I should add "embedding" next to that section too.

I've just finished. I had copied the tutorial to several forums and then realised that I had copied other posts in the original tutorial. I had to make mods to cater for "embedding"; delete the uneeded posts; delete all the tutorials; copy the updated one to each forum again. Joy. :|

I hope you're being paid well ;) if not then I hope the tea is to your liking.
Sounds a bit like some of my day-job. I'm in the process of upgrading just under 40 mainframe partitions to new levels of operating system along with new vendor software upgrades - over a period of a few months. Zzzzzz.

Need any help?!

Thanks for the offer Dave. We're ok at the moment, but another IT bod could be handy in the future. ;)

Never were truer words spoken, John. It's up to you, but I would definitely take up this kind man's offer. (poor unwitting sod!)

Hey I thought I told you to go to bed! I'll ban you if you're not gone in 5 minutes!

Sounds like you have it all in hand up there in Mission Control.
For some reason I imagine a room of computers, cabling everything, alarms and bells going off... smoke billowing out of the master console, John saying "she cannae take it Cap'n - we're up to 140-odd members already!", and Mike replying "I better put the kettle on then!"

"What does this button do?" http://bestsmileys.com/exploding/1.gif ;)

Seriously though, good work all of you on getting this going, and thanks for inviting me.

So that's why Dimitri is behaving so strangely - he has more cups than anyone else!
