You may have noticed a heads-up thread about the Ansel Adams Exhibition currently running in Edinburgh - link (http://www.inspiring-photography.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9190).
A number of us have decided to turn it into an IPF meet, probably combining the exhibition with some photography. Possibilities include urban stuff or landscapes in the Fife/Lothian area. The exhibition is open from 10am to 5pm.
The date decided on is: Saturday 1st March.
Those who are attending (updated 22nd Feb) are:
Mike Bell (docmike)
Dimitri (Dimitri)
John (JLP)
David (iGiDK)
Anyone else who would like to come post here and I will add your name to the list.
I thought we might wait until nearer the time and check the weather forecasts before deciding on exact meeting times and places. If you have suggestions for locations ... fire away! :)

Have fun Guys, I'm working that weekend but plan to catch the exhibition some other time.
Anyways I'll see most of your ugly mushes at the Yorkshire get together

Not sure if I'll make it (Scottie let me know when your planning on going) as I might be picking up my van. Will keep up to date via this thread.

I'm a drop out too I'm afraid. My son is studying in Holland at the moment, and my wife wanted to visit. The complications are that he has some exams coming up, I'm in Germany in May, my daughter has exams coming up, I'm in Yorkshire in March yada yada.
Anyway, trying to fit in with everyone's schedules means that the only time I could book up was for the weekend of the 1st. Sorry guys.

Dave, myself and Mike will be there around opening time but i don`t know what we`ll be doing after the gallery, you are right, the wind is suppose to be around 30mph, the best thing to do is to watch this space tomorrow night for the latest details.

Aye ok, will tune in for the latest developments tomorrow night Dimitri.
Getting into the city centre for opening time will be fine for me (I think the exhibition is just around the corner from Waverley), are you guys driving into the city?

That's right. I don't think Saturday morning will be good for landscape photography - forecast is high winds, overcast, light rain. :(
I plan to get the 8.48am train from Perth that arrives at Edinburgh Waverley at 10.00am exactly. I'm flexible about how long I stay as there are frequent trains back all day.
How about we bring our cameras (but not tripods etc), in case we want to do a bit of casual urban shooting? Go to the exhibition first then decide over coffee? Sound good? :)

... I couldn't say it. ...photographs from Saturday's mini-meet.
Dimitri remembers how to use his camera and a 'real' photo.
