It looks a bit yellow to me, Pav, and a little on the flat side.
I think it needs a slight anti-clockwise rotation too.

Love it. The only thing I would do to it would be, to pull back the blue channel but very slightly. The image denotes that the light was lovely and warm and the blue is slightly too blue for warm light.
Besides that, I will give it 5 stars. |

Very nice shot.
I would desaturate it a bit though, it looks a little 'overcooked'.

Nicely done. If it were me though, I'd crop off a large chunk of grass at the bottom. Put more emphisis on the trees.

I agree with most of the comments here about desaturating the blue a bit and a slight straighten of the trees.
I also think that it would have benefited in having a bit more space on the right of the picture as the trees seem a bit too close to the edge of the picture.

That said, chopping off 70-80% of the grass would still mean this was a very good shot - but different, maybe a bit "flatter" (and of course more panoramic). But for me, the roughly-equal quantities of blue, green, yellow and black give the whole picture a sort of balance/stability. |

It looks to me as though it's not just warm light, but it has a yellow cast which will affect the blues too.

just wondering why you used HDR for this photograph, it appears the light is coming from the side and atleast part illuminating the FG - it doesnt look like it would take a lot to hold back the sky, esp as the trees are basically a silhouetted anyway. to me the tones of yellow in the sky are a bit unbelievable (considering the sun is still above the horizon) which i think was caused by the HDR.
in saying that its a beautifuly simple composition and its a prime candidate for repeat visits in varying weather conditions. d |

I don't have much time for HDR usually but this is sensitively done and works well. I would have used a hard-edged ND grad instead but that is just me.
I think the composition is very good but I agree with Dimitri about the blue being just slightly over-saturated.

Docmike: Over-saturated was the idea for this picture. I didn't wanted for this image to look real at all. |

Offering HDR to such a 'trad' audience is like offering heavy metal music to the BBC Symphony Orchestra!
Good image and an excellent HDR which produces the surrealism which you wanted. Best Jim |
